Nelson Science K-7 is a brand new made-in-BC program that fully aligns with the goals of the new science curriculum. Through explorations designed to unleash students’ innate curiosity, and infused with First Peoples' knowledge and perspectives, Nelson Science K-7 opens inquiry pathways that allow students to deepen their understandings of big ideas, develop the core and curricular competencies, as well as build place-based and content knowledge. Join us for an introduction to this exciting new program!


Anita Chapman

Educational Consultant, Nelson Education Ltd
Anita Chapman is an educational consultant who works primarily in the area of curriculum, assessment, and learning resource development. She is a former Science teacher, school counselor, and instructor in teacher education. She worked on the development of the Core Competencies and had presented widely in the new directions in BC curriculum.
