This session is designed to introduce educators to the new FNESC/FNSA Science First Peoples Teacher Resource Guides for grades 5-9, a
resource designed to help BC educators incorporate First Peoples' perspectives and content into science classes in authentic and respectful ways.

Nancy McAleer worked for three years as a Curriculum Development team member with the Ministry of Education's current K-9 and 10-12 Science Revisions. Also, Nancy worked closely with the First Nations Education Steering Committee as a contributor to the First Peoples' Science 5-9 Teacher Resource Guide. Nancy is a Smarter Science Certified Trainer for student inquiry and has taught for nearly 20 years in BC and Ontario.
